Feel the Bern: Bernie Sanders is Insane!

By Rich Kozlovich

On January 2, 2018 Mara Siegler posted this article - Bernie Sanders spent just $16 on New Year’s Eve dinner, saying:
“While Donald Trump spent New Year’s Eve at an opulent Mar-a-Lago bash — with guests paying hundreds of dollars to attend — former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders had a decidedly more low-key, and low-cost, end to 2017……..with an early-bird, no-frills meal of chicken wings, tea and coffee at hip downtown beer hall Clinton Hall while one bodyguard looked over their communal table…….the bill for the frugal feast came to just $16."
Why anyone thinks that’s news is beyond me, unless the real purpose behind this article is an effort to show just how wonderful Bernie is versus that spend thrift Trump.

But weren't they each spending their own money?   One spends lavishly on his friends and family, and the other is seemingly frugal. Remember the word frugal means you don't waste.  That's not the same as being "cheap", it just means you aren't wasteful. Since both are spending their own money this really isn't anyone else's business, except for the question we should be asking: What happens when they spend your money?

Based on how Trump is trying to cut government size, regulation and cut costs -he's frugal when he spends your money.  But based on what Bernie wants the government to do - the sky's the limit as to how much of your money he's not only willing to spend - sky's the limit on how much he would love to spend.  He's not the least bit frugal then.

What’s really sad about this article is how their table, “became truly communal because supporters kept going up to him”.  “Millennials were snapping away, taking pics while he ate.” I guess they were "Feeling the Bern".

Doesn't anyone read the news?  I know they don't read history books, nor is honest history taught in school any longer.  No one bothers to mention how “Feeling the Bern” has worked in Venezuela where chicken wings would really be a welcome feast from the starvation imposed on the people of Venezuela by the socialist – or collectivist – standard Bernie embraces.

Bernie is insane! Why is that so hard to get.  Insane?  Really?  Why would I say such a thing?

Because we have approximately 225 years of history – going back to the French Revolution – to show that central planning collectivism doesn’t work. I don’t care if they call it socialism, communism, Nazism or environmentalism. It doesn’t work! We absolutely know it doesn’t work! Yet Bernie and these snowflakes from America’s universities riot and scream like banshees demanding America become a collectivist state, with them in charge.

Not only are they ignorant, they’re arrogant in their ignorance, making them stupid, and that stupidity has made them insane!

The left has constantly and unendingly attacked capitalism as a failed system, yet history has shown that's a system that has worked to bring more people out of poverty, squalor, misery and suffering than any system the world has ever known.

While on the other hand collectivism has delivered dystopia - squalor, misery, disease, tyranny and early death in every nation that it was ever imposed upon. If doing something that's failed over and over again while expecting a different outcome the next time it's tried is a definition of insanity - then they're all insane.

That’s Bernie and all these loons who love him!  Loving a system that’s destroyed more lives in more horrible ways than anything else in all human history.

They give the impression of being supremely self-confident. They’re not – they’re arrogant. What’s the difference?

A self-confident person wants to be right because they really are right, and is willing to accept correction in order to be right.

An arrogant person “must” be right irrespective of the facts or reality. They must be “right” even if the world has to be made wrong - and no matter how many disasters that creates – they never cease to cling to their insane views.

Stalin murdered tens of millions of his own people insisting his five-year agricultural plans were the “right” way to go. When they failed, it was the fault of the bureaucrats running “the plan”, not “the plan” itself. Because “the plan” was Stalin’s plan and therefore must be right, and the bureaucrats who were responsible for "the plan's" failure found themselves dead or imprisoned.

Ignorance is the natural state. We’re all stunning ignorant about so many things because there’s simply so many things to know. Man’s knowledge is expanding at an astounding rate, making it impossible to know everything. Ignorance simply means “we don’t know”. But ignorance is fixable by learning. But when we refuse to learn that ignorance becomes stupid.   Stupid isn’t fixable, especially when exacerbated by insanity.

In spite of all the failed history of collectivist central planning - what are Bernie's plans for the future?
“We will not only intensify the struggle against Trumpism, we will increase our efforts to spread the progressive vision in every corner of the land.”
While promising utopia - history has shown that progressive vision is a vision of dystopia - starvation, misery, suffering, early death and tyranny.  That's history, and that history is incontestable!

Now tell me why everyone doesn’t think he’s insane?

  1. Those embracing collectivism will never change, and will submit to no proof nor argument, as it is simply a matter of their perverted, misguided atheistic faith. Unlike true religion, which comports quite well with logic and right reason, the religion of collectivism cannot.

You will note that there are also a number of "scientific" theories that follow this same course, including the zillions of times disproved fat/cholesterol theory of heart disease, and non-dietary endocrine disruptors (while ignoring the very real action of excessive soy intake).
