Families of Brit 9/11 victims due £69million EACH in compensation, says lawyer

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner believes the families of the 2,977 World Trade Center fatalities could each receive $100m (£69m) in what could be the costliest lawsuit in history.   It means the families of 67 Brit victims could receive a combined £4.6billion.  The potentially humungous legal action moved once step closer to reality on Tuesday when US bigwigs passed a terrorism justice act. "It will be huge," said Ms Darshan-Leitner, speaking to Daily Star Online.

Based on previous cases it's usually millions of dollars, perhaps $50m to $100m per family."  The award-winning Israeli attorney and human rights activist said that parents, children and siblings of victims would each be awarded compensation and "loss of support" money.  She continued: "The compensation for the victim depends on the pain and suffering they experienced before they died.  "And obviously in the case of the 9/11 terror attack their suffering was horrible, horrible.  "And if they were injured, then it depends on the time they spent in hospital.".....To Read More....
