Featured Article: Oh-oh! Global warming RICO letter writers may have opened Pandora's Box By Thomas Lifson

Finally, we may be getting some cosmic justice for the gang of warmists who have spread hysteria over their shaky theory of global warming. Owing to an outrageous act of witch-hunting dissenters, a congressional investigation has begun, and who knows what it will uncover?

It was an outrage when a group of 20 scientists published a letterto President Obama and AG Lynch demanding RICO prosecution of those who question the theory of global warming, based as it is on models that have failed to accurately predict the Earth’s climate for the last 19 years. Not only is criminalizing scientific investigation a bad idea, but the underlying contention that skeptics are funded by greedy polluters is false, a myth deliberately spread by the gang that profits from hysteria, as Russell Cook demonstrated on these pages yesterday…….

The investigation will likely focus on taxpayers’ extensive support for IGES through grants from the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. “Shukla’s letter to Obama and Lynch “raises serious concerns because IGES appears to be almost fully funded by taxpayer money while simultaneously participating in partisan political activity by requesting a RICO investigation of companies and organizations that disagree with the Obama Administration on climate change,” Smith wrote......

My Take- I support a RICO investigation, but only if it includes everyone! Which means investigating the academics, activists and bureaucrats supporting AGW? Then we'll see where the conspiracy to commit criminal activities lies. That's what RICO is all about - criminal activity! - criminal activity that involves ill-gotten gain. Fraud would be such a crime. And who's benefitted financially from all of this? Academia, the activists, ex-politicians and even bureaucrats like Hansen of the GISS getting speaking fees.

The Most Dangerous Man In the World - Is neither Russia’s Vladimir Putin nor China’s Xi Jinping, nor at this time, Ayatollah Khamenei – it’s none other than America’s Barack Hussein Obama.

The Iranian Deal -- Who's to Blame? - Those to blame may look back and regret their choices, but will it be too late.

Once Again, Obama bows to China - Obama's legacy of U.S. weakness, and the accommodation of rivals he leaves behind will be damaging for U.S. interests for years to come.

Obama's perfect storm to destroy Israel – Three very important items leaked onto the news wires on Thursday that deserve broad, nationwide attention, and will not get it thanks to the Roseburg shootings.

Obama pulls Kerry and Power from audience of Netanyahu's powerful UN speech - Another slap in the face for Israel and its Prime Minister. History will not be kind to the UN or Obama for this.

Obama disgraces himself with rush to politicize Roseburg shooting – President Obama couldn’t wait for the facts to come in before addressing the nation on the Roseburg shootings, openly calling them “something we should politicize.”

You and your party are responsible, Mr. President- Here is what liberals such as President Obama cannot seem to understand when it comes to school shootings like the recent one in Oregon.

We should invite all our enemies to fight in Syria– Think of Syria as one big lethal dog run that keeps the dogs drained and relatively well-behaved.

Can't Predict a Hurricane but Global Warming is a Certainty? - The computer models are all over the map. Literally. Yes, weather is different than climate, but both involve predictions based on computer models.

Are liberal women really proud to have abortions?– Ending a life considered "a negative cloud."

Planned Parenthood vs. the Military - The Obama administration makes decisions based on the politics of a thing, not the principle, and, unfortunately, not what is in the interests of the country.

Life in the Shadows - Shadow Work is an important book that makes visible the invisible servitude that so exhausts us and consumes our time.

At Colorado college, a ban on the words 'God,' 'Jesus,' and 'Lord' - Just who do they think would be offended?

Rep. McCarthy walks back Benghazi Committee comments– An unforced error – and a big one.

Roseburg, Charleston, and their aftermaths – The culturally dominant left used the Charleston church massacre to advance its agenda on race. Don't expect the Christian martyrs of Roseburg, executed after declaring their faith, to evoke the same media response.

Legislatures should be security-free, gun-free zones like college campuses - If it's good enough for the students, it's certainly good enough for state legislators.

The funniest Hillary Clinton emails thus far - Not classified, but maybe they should have been.

Can Jeb Bush be nominated while supporting amnesty and Muslim immigrants? - No amount of money is going to sell political poison the likes of which Jeb Bush is espousing.

The delusional state of denial - So ends the Oslo dream.

Our newest beneficiary shows little respect or love for the US - The language of the past is the language of the present.
