Behind the Sinking of the Lusitania - Secretary of State William Jennings Bryan wanted to warn Americans not to travel aboard British ships. But President Woodrow Wilson, writes Windchy, "said that American citizens had a right to travel on belligerent ships with impunity, even within a war zone," a defiance of common sense and an absurd interpretation of international law.  On May 1, 1915, Lusitania set sail from New York. As Windchy writes, the ship "secretly carried munitions and Canadian troops in civilian clothes, which legally made it fair game for (German) U-boats........Had Wilson publicly warned U.S. citizens not to sail on the ships of belligerent nations and forbidden U.S.-flagged merchant ships to carry contraband to nations at war, America might have stayed out of the war, which might have ended in a truce, not a German defeat.  There might have been no Adolf Hitler and no World War II.

My TakeWilson arbitrarily created a rule regarding the safety of American citizens outside of American jurisdiction.  He in effect declared any American killed anywhere was an attack on America, even if their deaths were incidental to the surrounding events.  And he did this because he was an ardent Anglophile trying desperately trying to draw America into the war on England’s side.  It was known the Lusitania was operating illegally by Wilson and his minions, so his unwillingness to encourage Americans to avoid sailing on her can only be construed as a deliberate attempt to put American lives in jeopardy for political purposes.  If that wasn’t a crime is should have been.  Wilson was the first fascist American President, and like all leftists, human life isn’t really all that important to them.  I recommend reading Jonah Goldberg’s, Liberal Fascism.

Global Warming

Hot and Getting Hotter? UN Agency Presents ‘Imaginary But Realistic’ Weather Forecasts for 2050 - A screengrab from the WMO video features a 2050 weather map showing a weather map showing a temperature in central Bulgaria of 50°C, or 122°F. (Image: World Meteorological Organization)  In a fresh effort to generate fervor for a far-reaching new global climate agreement, a U.N. agency is releasing videos featuring “imaginary but realistic” weather reports set in 2050, to illustrate the type of extreme conditions it predicts we will face by mid-century. But the first video in the series of 15 to be rolled out over the coming weeks shows some temperatures for 2050 considerably in excess of those projected in the latest major U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report (which has itself been dubbed “too alarmist” by some critics.)....... U.N. climate chief Christiana Figueres thanked the weathermen and women who participated in the campaign “for volunteering their time and their skill to communicate to millions of people the reality we are all facing by 2050 if climate change if left unaddressed.”  “I am sure their films will inspire everyone of the absolute necessity of a meaningful, universal new agreement in Paris in 2015,” she said.

My Take – Propaganda being paid for by taxpayers to promote the most blatant fraud the world has ever seen.  Untold billions have been wasted on this while the world’s poor still lack clean water, sewage, reliable transportation, reliable energy sources and descent medical care.  Billions that could have gone a long way to fixing these legitimate problems.

Immigration

ICE Released 169 Illegal Aliens Convicted of ‘Homicide-Related’ Crimes - In the midst of the summer recess, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) issued a press release on Aug. 21 concerning a letter he wrote to the Department of Homeland Security seeking details about the release of 36,007 illegal aliens last year who had been convicted of a crime and were released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) while awaiting deportation proceedings .  The June 9 inquiry, addressed to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, led to the revelation that of those thousands released, 169 had been convicted of “homicide-related” offenses.  “The public needs to know when a person is in the country illegally, and who has been convicted of a homicide, is released into their communities,” Grassley said in the press release.  Along with the letter, Grassley posted ICE’s response, which confirmed its release of 169 illegal aliens in the press release…….

US Signs Agreement with Mexico to Protect Mexican Workers – Including Illegals  - Mexican Ambassador to the United States Eduardo Medina Mora Icaza signed a Memorandum of Understanding between his country and the U.S. on Aug. 29, 2014 to protect Mexican Nationals working in this country.  At a signing ceremony on Friday, the U.S. government, through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Mexican government to allow Mexican Nationals – regardless of immigration status – to exercise their workplace rights.” The MOU is consistent with the “core mission of this commission,” Mexican Ambassador to the United States Eduardo Medina Mora Icaza said, adding “that regardless of national origin or immigration status all workers have rights and there are processes to safeguard them. “This is what makes this country so great,” the ambassador said.  The four-page memorandum states in the “Overall Objective” section, in part, that its purpose is: “to establish a collaborative relationship to provide Mexican Nationals in the United States with information, guidance, and access to education and training resources to help them understand and exercise their workplace rights, particularly with regard to reducing violations against them under the laws and regulations that are administered and enforced by EEOC.”....

My Take – How can criminals, AKA, illegal aliens - who aren’t even supposed to be here - have workplace rights?

Deport the Tsarnaev Sisters - The Sisters Tsarnaev have been nothing but trouble. Double, bubbling trouble. While their Boston Marathon bomber brother Dzhokhar awaits trial this month for the bloody 2012 attacks that killed three and injured hundreds, his elder Chechen immigrant siblings Ailina and Bella remain on the loose in the U.S. after their own frequent run-ins with the law.  Last week, Ailina was arrested in Harlem after allegedly threatening "to blow up her live-in lover's baby mama," as the New York Post reported. Police charged Ailina, 23, with aggravated harassment and released her.  Will the legal system learn? Ailina's time in America sends one clear message: No consequences. More trouble.  In 2013, she was released without bail in South Boston in connection with a three-year-old counterfeiting case. Prosecutors said she obstructed their investigation. They charged her with willfully lying to police in 2010. She skipped bail in 2011. Upon turning herself in last year after the Boston bombing, she told the court she was indigent, pregnant and a single mother with one other child. The case was dismissed. She has bounced between shelters and shabby apartments shared with sister Bella.

Islam

The Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram beheaded a six-year-old boy during a June attack on the predominantly Christian village of Attagara, according to an eyewitness account provided by the Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) missionary organization.  “Over 100 militants dressedn military uniforms swarmed the predominantly Christian village just as Sunday church services were beginning on June 1,” VOM reports.  “The rebels opened fire on the village and went after people with their machetes.”  Boko Haram became internationally known after it staged a mass kidnapping of over 250 Nigerian school girls in April. The majority of the girls are still missing. Last month, the group publicly aligned itself with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).......55-year-old Sawaltha Wandala witnessed the Boko Haram slaughtering children at a church as he arrived for the second service. He saw the men throw one child into a ditch. More concerned for the child than his own safety, he picked up the 6-year-old boy, who had survived being severely slashed, and immediately rushed to take the child to the hospital in Cameroon.”“Sawaltha was stopped by five insurgents, who grabbed the boy from his arms and beheaded him, before turning to beat Sawaltha with tree branches.”.....

ISIS Publication Aims to Lure Recruits; Justifies Atrocities by Citing Mohammed - The latest propaganda publication by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) is clearly designed to lure more recruits from Western countries, portraying an idealized picture of a band of “strangers from the East and the West,” drawn together despite national and ethnic differences, in common allegiance to one leader and one sacred cause. Entitled Dabiq, the slick, full-color digital magazine has been produced in English and several other European languages. The style and grammar suggest first-language English writer or writers, and the spelling is American rather than British.

British PM Plans to Seize Passports, Block Returning Jihadists - Weeks before President Obama hosts a special U.N. Security Council meeting on foreign fighters in Syria and Iraq, British Prime Minister David Cameron has announced new steps aimed at combating the threat they pose to countries of origin on their return from the region. Proposed measures include the seizing of passports to prevent suspected extremists from leaving Britain in the first place, and powers to prevent those already fighting for jihadist groups like the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS/ISIL) from returning. Foreign citizens will be kept out, dual nationals will be deprived of their citizenship to stop them returning, and naturalized Britons will risk having

Ex-FBI Agent: U.S. Government Should Identify ISIS as ‘Islamic Extremists’ - A former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) legal attache in the Middle East said Thursday that the U.S. government should return to the use of the terms “terrorism” and “Islamic extremism” to describe the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and the threat it poses to the Middle East and the West. “We have to identify our enemies and remember who our friends are,” Wayne Zaideman said at a seminar on ISIS held at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. Fighting ISIS (also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) and other Islamic extremist groups requires acknowledging who they are – something the Obama administration has resisted by restricting the use of these descriptions, he said. “For a while – after Obama came into office – that was stricken from [the] vocabulary of the FBI and other U.S. government agencies,” said Zaideman, who also has worked with the FBI domestically.

National Debt

Foreign Ownership of U.S. Government Debt Passes $6 Trillion  - For the first time in the nation’s history, foreign interests now own more than $6 trillion in U.S. government debt, according to the most recent Treasury Department report on major foreign holders of the debt, which includes the numbers through the end of June.  As of the end of June, foreign owners held $6,013,200,000,000 in U.S. Treasury securities, up from $5,976,500,000,000 as of the end of May.  Thirteen years ago, at the end of June 2001, the foreign-held U.S. government debt was $983,300,000,000—and had been trending downward for four months. Since then, it has grown more than six-fold....

Cultural Values

36% of Generation Starting to Turn 21 This Year Born to Unmarried Mothers - If you count a generation as spanning 20 years, then approximately 36 percent of the American generation born from 1993 through 2012 — which has begun turning 21 this year and will continue turning 21 through 2033—were born to unmarried mothers. 80,838,742 babies were born in the United States from 1993 through 2012, according to the birth reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and 29,007,173 of those babies were born to unmarried mothers.  That does not count the 40.6 percent of babies (1,605,643 out of 3,957,577) born in 2013 who were also born to unmarried mothers. In fact, according to the CDC, at least 40 percent of the babies born in each of the last six years — 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 — were born to unmarried mothers.... It is a statistical fact that the institution of the family has been collapsing in America over the past 45 years.

My Take – The key to any stable society is the nuclear family.  A man, a woman and their children.  The destruction of the Judaic/Christian social structure in America has always been the goal of leftists.  This was clearly outlined in 1963 in the - 45 goals of the Communist Party to take over America, which was published in the Congressional Record - . Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963.

Ben Carson: Obama Says ‘We Are Not a Judeo-Christian Nation’ – But He Doesn’t Get to Decide, We Do. - Neurosurgeon and best-selling author Dr. Ben Carson said that although President Barack Obama has claimed America is “not a Judeo-Christian nation,” he is not the one to decide that point, we the people “get to decide that.” “We as Americans have certain beliefs and cultures that led us to the pinnacle of the world,” said Dr. Carson while speaking at the 8th Annual Defending the American Dream Summit on Friday in Dallas, Texas. “One of those things is that we are a people of faith,” he said. “I know the president has said that we are not a Judeo-Christian nation. But guess what? He doesn’t get to decide that, we get to decide that.”
