Scientist to Florida Gov. Scott:  Alarmism is not Pro Life - Source: The Cornwall Alliance
Atmospheric scientist Neil Frank sent Florida Gov. Rick Scott a letter explaining why global warming alarmism is not pro-life. Frank responded to assertions by climate activists that people with pro-life abortion views must also support pro-life alarmist global warming views. Frank documented how diverting precious resources away from life-saving and life-enhancing programs and instead squandering them on overhyped global warming fears is anti-life rather than pro-life.

Antartic Sea Ice Sets New Records - Source: Cryosphere Today
Antarctic sea ice set perhaps its most impressive record yet, with the Antarctic sea ice anomaly reaching more than 2 million square kilometers above the long-term mean. Global sea ice has remained above the long-term average for most of the past 18 months.

Kerry’s Private Jet:  No More Eco-Hypocrisy - Source - Michelle Malkin
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was forced to abandon his private jet and fly home via commercial first class after his jet experienced technical difficulties. As Michelle Malkin observed,  among John Kerry’s stops on his recent travels abroad on a private jet was a visit to the Solomon Islands to talk about the effects of climate change that might be caused by John Kerry’s travels abroad on private jets. Kerry of course used the state department jet for his travels that is, until the plane decided it didn’t want to contribute to his eco hypocrisy one minute longer.

Energy

Nothing makes sense about Renewable Energy Targets, except at a “Bumper-Sticker” level. Today the AFR front page reports the federal government is shifting to remove the scheme (by closing it to new entrants) rather than just scaling it back. It can’t come a day too soon. Right now, the Greens who care about CO2 emissions should be cheering too. The scheme was designed to promote an industry, not to cut CO2. We’ve been sold the idea that if we subsidize “renewable” energy (which produces less CO2) we’d get a world with lower CO2 emissions. But it ain’t so. The fake “free” market ... more »
